Hi, not sure how to smog this truck, Ford f-350 Gas. It is 2004 but says its OBD I compliant. Do I use the EIS instead? GVWR is under 14000 lbs

Thanks ahead, this is my 4th time running into this issue. Some of the guys say just OIS and be done. I rejected the car.

It’s got to be a Fed Vehicle over 8500 GVW from what I gather.  It should be listed in the OBD Reference Guide. If it was me I would print the OIS screen that Warns you or Rejects it.  Then hook it up to the BAR97 and scan the OBD Diagnostic , print up that screen. It will print the OBD type the vehicle has.  As long as it does not specify OBD type as OBDII,  Smog it on the BAR 97.   Attach both printed  pages to the invoice.   Done

YES FOR SOME HEAVY DUTY FORD AND GM VEHCILES . WHEN OIS ASKS OBDII CERT ? LOOK FOR OBD1 OR OBD2 CERT ON LABEL . OIS WILL ABORT IF OBD1 AND ASK YOU TO SMOG ON BAR 97
